Asahi Beer Robot Video
The post last year about the Asahi Beer robot has been the second most popular post on Robot Gossip ever.
"What better application of robot technology can there be than to serve man a beer?"
(It is second only to the Andy sex robot post which gets many many many google hits.)
I was just alerted to a video of the beer serving robot in action. The robots were being given away by Asahi for a promotional contest in Japan. The video is evidently from one of the winners.
I think most people agree, "I need one of these."
Also don't forget to visit and shop at the new Roboteria.

Yes I have noticed how slow it is and what a mess it makes. I still like the way it respects the beer and treats it like a rare specimen or something.
The pointlessness of this robot is what makes it so incredible.
Seems like if you combined this technology with the Andie the Sex robot then you'd really have something.
Did you see the last Mythbusters? They had a lie detector and when they hooked it up to Grant they asked him if he had ever made or thought about making a female robot. According to the needles, he had.
I just watched the video. What the hell was that robot yapping about for the whole fifteen minutes it took it to open the beer?
Just needs a firmware tweaking or two
